Booking requests are reviewed before confirmation. A reservation is confirmed only after approval and successful payment through the approved payment workflow. Property-specific policies, cancellation terms, house rules, and arrival instructions are shared with guests as part of the reservation process.
Cancellation Policy
For stays under 15 nights, cancellations qualify for a full refund when requested at least 30 days before check-in. You may reschedule your dates with 30 day notice as well, however, it does not change the 30 day clock which begins at the original booking date.
For stays 15 nights or longer, the cancellation window is 60 days. Deadline requests must be submitted before 4 PM EST.
If a guest cancels after the deadline, Hinterland Estates will re-list the dates and refund any nights that rebook. The refund per night will be the lower of the original price or the rebooking rate. Nights that do not rebook cannot be refunded.
Changing dates or rebooking does not restart the cancellation policy clock. The policy is measured from the original booking date.
