Booking requests are reviewed before confirmation. A reservation is confirmed only after approval and successful payment through the approved payment workflow. Property-specific policies, cancellation terms, house rules, and arrival instructions are shared with guests as part of the reservation process.
Cancellation Policy
For stays under 15 nights, guests may cancel or reschedule for a full refund when the request is made at least 30 days before check-in. For stays 15 nights or longer, the cancellation window is 60 days. Cancellation requests must be submitted before 4 PM EST on the deadline day to qualify.
If a guest cancels after the deadline, Hinterland Estates will re-list the dates and refund any nights that rebook. The refund per night will be the lower of the original price or the rebooking rate. Nights that do not rebook cannot be refunded.
Changing dates or rebooking does not restart the cancellation policy clock. The policy is measured from the original booking date.
